Greg Russell graduated cum laude from Texas State University in 1989. Following his graduation from college, Greg attended Texas Tech University School of Law.

After graduating from Law School in 1992, Greg began his legal career with a broad-based firm in Lubbock, Texas providing legal representation in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury. Since 1994 Greg has devoted his practice almost exclusively in the area of criminal defense. Greg has also taught Juvenile Law at the College of the Mainland in Texas City, Texas.

As first chair, Greg has tried over sixty criminal jury trials to final verdicts. These cases have ranged from Capital Murder to misdemeanors, including three not guilty murder trials. His years of experience in criminal defense in analyzing and evaluating cases, has given him the unique ability to view cases through the eyes of his opponent and develop successful strategies to further the interests of his clients. Greg has a long track record of winning not guilty verdicts which has translated into thirty-nine not guilty jury verdicts and twelve hung juries for his clients.

Former President of the Galveston County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.  Greg is member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Galveston Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Texas Bar, Galveston County Bar, United States Court of Appeals 5th Circuit and United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
